Chance Waite

Paramotor maniac and trike magician

Chance has wanted to fly for as long as he can remember. He enrolled in his high school’s aviation program the first year it was offered, kept the passion alive through aviation hobbies and flight simulators, and later attended aircraft maintenance school alongside his oldest son.

Paramotoring came through family. When his brother-in-law bought a paramotor, Chance was skeptical. A lawn chair hanging from fabric and string sounded like a good way to get hurt. Six months of watching from the ground changed his mind. He started building his own trike, found a great deal on a paramotor before he’d finished it, and never looked back.

He soon set every other aviation pursuit aside to focus on paramotoring. Like many in the sport, he believes powered paragliding is the purest form of flight.

Today Chance leads instruction at Arizona Paramotor. He personally oversees every course and every equipment recommendation, so each student gets the right gear and the best possible start.
